A Friendly Guide to Our Astoria Home
Welcome to the Charles Stevens House at
1388 Franklin Ave, Astoria, Oregon — our spooky-historic, personality-packed home base for fun weekends, cozy hangs, and coastal adventures.
Once you decide to stay with us, you’ll receive your own custom front-door code so you can come and go easily during your visit.
You’ll receive a personalized door code before arrival.
No keys to keep track of—just punch it in and you’re home.
You will be sharing space with two resident pugs:
🥔 Potato — Compact, demanding, professional chewer
🌿 Dill — Very good boi, expressive, sometimes timid (he's going blind and deaf)
They are friendly, social, and fully committed to being underfoot. Expect to be judged softly and sniffed aggressively.
Every room in the house has a personality. You didn’t choose the theme—the theme chose you.
Dark, moody, and intentionally unsettling
Home of the masks and Patti's glamour shot
For guests who appreciate atmosphere
Fake chimney + fireplace
Firefighter gear, axes, turnout coats, extinguishers on the walls, maybe some fireball..
Cozy-meets-chaos energy
All-white wicker furniture
Light, airy, and intentionally contrasted with the rest of the house
Inspired by references to The Wicker Man
Generally, plenty of street parking with a few exceptions.
- Sundays 8am to 4pm during the Astoria Sunday Market
- Anytime there is a big event in town:
If the driveway is free, feel free to pull in there. We recommend backing in.
No major towing risks to know about
Pets are welcome with prior approval. Ask for each stay, the circumstances may change.
Be warned, Dill (as a former street dog) can be territorial. We will need to be there to help do introductions (outside preferably) between the animals.
Pets are welcome to sleep in bed with you or in the room. No nighttime roaming.
Our front yard is unfenced so leashes are required. We do have a small patch of grass on the back patio with access through a pug-sized doggy door.
This is a real neighborhood and a real home:
